Hey Wilfred,

Somewhere I read that you are going to be at the Renesas DevCon in San Diego on Oct 13-15 giving a presentation. I can't find where, but was wondering if thats true. I just found out I'll be attending, and I figured it'd be a nice place to meet you and put a face to your name.

Hi Jonathan,

For some unknown reason I had not received an e-mail when you posted the reply...Sad Otherwise I would have, of course, answered much, much earlier...Wink

Yes, the original idea was that I would conduct a session on CANopen during the Renesas DevCon, but I had to call it off. The guys at Renesas had told me that I would be there for several technical sessions on CAN and CANopen, but as it turned out they were planning only on one session of less than 40 minutes. Considering the travel expenses (East Coast to West Coast) I had to call it off.

Another issue was Renesas' overly stringent policy regarding the technical presentations. The magnitude of requirements, terms & conditions, online training on electronics survey devices, submission of personal information, etc., etc., was mind-boggling and I could not afford to neglect my own business.

I will be on the next Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose, though, and, assuming you are on the West Coast, that may be an opportunity to meet.
